Introduction

Mustang is land of windy arid ridges and hinterland of high Himalayas, The mustang has divide in two part as it has two part this trek continues an lower mustang, the trek provides you deep gorge in the world, stunning waterfall, pristine scenery, fantastic wilderness, amazing Buddhist monasteries, and many other unique natural beauties. Trek on along the wind sweep Kali Gandaki valley passing the different style of villages and different ethnic groups regarding to high, superb sunrise view from Poon hill.

The trek starts on foot of Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna range mountain along the Kali Gandaki river in windy valley in plateau. Passing through charming villages of Thakali and Gurung a Tibetan style villages again the wind and Monastery. We trek down cross the world deepest gorge, terraced paddies field, waterfall arrive at Tatopani, rest and relaxed at hot spring which is just beside Kali Gandaki river. Now trek continue on sub-tropical valley and walk through dense rhododendron forest see multi-colorful birds and monkeys as you climbing up to Gorepani, giant Dhaulagiri will be seen with valley. Poon hill is the awesome view point for see Himalayas on 270º degrees and sunrise and sunset on the mountain is spectacular. The picturesque peak of Machhapuchhare dominating the skyline.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Pokhara 850m- 7hrs drive. Overnight at Hotel

Day 04: Pokhara – Kagbeni 2900m- 4hrs Trek. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 05: Kagbeni – Muktinath 3740m- 5hrs Trek. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 06: Muktinath – Thini 2900m- 6hrs Trek. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 07: Thini – Kalapani 2500m- 7hrs Trek. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 08: Kalapani – Tatopani 1100m- 6hrs Trek. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 09: Tatopani – Chitre 2340m- 5hrs Trek. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 10: Chitare – Gorepani 2870m- 4hrs Trek. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 11: Gorepani – Hille 1140m- 6hrs Trek. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 12: Hille – Pokhara 3hrs driving. Overnight at Hotel

Day 13: Pokhara – Kathmandu 6hrs drive. Overnight at Hotel

Day 14: Flying back to home.

Detail Itinerary


Detail Itinerary of 14Days Jomsom Muktinath and Poon Hill Trek.
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu 1350m/4428ft.
On arrival at Tribhuwan international airport. our official representative will be recieced you and transfer to hotel.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley and pre-trek meeting.
Your guided tour start around 9am then you will explore cultural sites of Kathmandu which are listed in UNISCO world heritage site.
Pashupatinath Temple: The Hindu shrine where death body is cremate and holy Bagmati river follow throughout centre of temple.
Bauddhanath Stupa: One of the largest Buddhist stupa in the world's.
Swambhunath: This is combine of Hindu temple and Buddhist stupa at middle of Kathmandu valley and itself is great view point of Kathmandu valley.
Durbar-Square: You can explore the newari wooden architecture on temple, museum, living Goddess Kumari.

Day 03: Kathmandu – pokhara 850m/2788ft- 6hrs by driving.
The drive from Kathmandu valley then drive offers the great mountain view of Langtang range, Ganesh himal and Manaslu. Then drive continues along the Trishuli river passing a couple of big town then arrive at Pokhara. Once you reach at pokhara the town offer picturesque mountains of western Himalayas and boating on lake.

Day 04: Pokhara – Kagbeni 2900m/9512ft- 4hrs Trek.
We have 25minute scenic flight to Jomsom. Once we reach at Jomsom airport, the scene dramatically change and seen plateau with giant mountain at both side. Our gradually trail goes along bank of Kali Gandaki river. passing a couple of tea shop, Buddhist relic, with wide view of arid and mountains. Some time you find a fossils on your path.

Day 05: Kagbeni – Muktinath 3740m/12267ft- 5hrs Trek.
Our trek continue on south from village on barren land, passing a animal graze and villages then we have a our lunch at Jhong. Often cross the stream to Muktinath where we visit both Buddhist site and Hindus site at same area. We meet more trekker's who came down from Thorong la pass and Upper Mustang.

Day 06: Muktinath – Thini 3000m/9840ft- 6hrs Trek.
Today we avoiding jeep track trial, we follow the small trail to Luprak village and gradual up and descending to the Luprak. The path offers you awesome views of Himalayas and landscapes of barren plateau. Walk along on bank of Kaligandaki river Jomsom. Now we have a short climb up to Thini and the village provide great view of Kali Gandaki valley. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 07: Thini – Kalapani 2500m/8200ft- 7hrs Trek.
The trail goes east of village crossing a stream and passing a beautiful Dumba lake where we can seen shadow of Nilgiri in the lake. Trek continue descend along east bank of Kali Gandaki river passing a some tea shop, pine forest, then finally arrive at Kalapani. The town provide mountain view in 360º degrees include Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Nilgiri and numerous other peaks.

Day 08: Kalapani – Tatopani 1130m/3706ft- 6hrs Trek.
Our trek goes in pine forest till Ghasa after that we trek on east bank of river on rough trail passing a world deepest gorge and waterfall. The trail continue through fantastic landscape of sub-tropical. Finally we arrive at Tatopani and go to have a bath at natural hot spring.

Day 09: Tatopani – Shikha 2340m/7675ft- 5hrs Trek.
Our trek starts along the Kali Gandaki river then we cross the river. now the trail climbing up on the ridge and paddies farm passing a villages to Sittal Danda. Now trek goes through villages and terrace of grain and provides fantastic landscape of green valley and massive Mt. Dhaulagiri.

Day 10: Chitre– Gorepani 2870m/9413ft- 5hrs Trek.
Our trek goes through the villages then into the mysterious dense rhododendron forest up to Gorepanai. The forest is blooming by multi-colour rhododendron flower. As you climbing up in the ridge, the mountain views are more wider and closer.

Day 11: Gorepani – Hille 1140m/3739ft- 6hrs Trek.
Today we have a one more great opportunity to watch the superb mountain views from Poon Hill. 1hrs steady climb up brings us at Poon Hill. We can see panoramic mountain in 270º degrees then retracing to Gorepani. We starts trek in the dense rhododendron forest to Bhanthati then through the villages to Ulleri.

Day 12: Hille – Pokhara 3hrs driving.
Our trek starts descending along the Burungi river passing a villages and fantastic landscapes of paddies to Birethanti then Nayapul. We have a one hour's drive from Nayapul to pokhara, the driving offers grant mountain view of Annapurna rang and charming Machhapuchhare.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Pokhara – Kathmandu 6hrs by driving.
Our drive starts in the morning from pokhara, the drive provides fantastic mountain views of Annapurna range, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang range and beautiful landscapes of grains farm.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 14: Departure.
According your flight schedule, you will be transffered to the international airport.
